Physical Culture (or physie as we all call it) is a fantastic sport for girls and women. Our high energy, fun and inspiring dance classes are low-cost and keep girls entertained all year round with the excellent variety of routines on offer. Our dance syllabus is a combination of: basic ballet/contemporary dance, aerobic warm ups, standing and floor exercises, jazz dance and hip hop – all rolled into the one class. All routines are performed to modern music, with syllabus updated annually to reflect popular dance styles. Physie is beneficial for all ages with fun-filled classes promoting flexibility, coordination, rhythm confidence building, good posture, fitness, strength and teamwork. Syllabus is age appropriate, and choreography is tailored from 3 years right through to ladies. Competitions are held annually at an individual and team level. The competitions are not mandatory but are very rewarding and promote good sportsmanship and club spirit.
Cronulla Club is a member of The Bjelke Petersen School of Physical Culture Association which is the largest and most well established organisation of this kind which has been operation for over 125 years.
